Are Private Schools Really More Expensive?
Compared to a public school, for parents, a private school is more expensive. For the state and federal entities private schools are less expensive because all funding from private schools comes from private individuals. Amazingly enough, although private schools have a tuition and public schools don’t, if a parent were to have to pay what the government pays for each child to attend the public school, they would be shocked. The national average of what it costs to send a child to public school for the government is almost twice the amount that a parent would pay for the same child to attend a private day school.
It used to be that only the elite attended private schools, however, because of the tuition costs, scholarship programs and financial aide programs, private schools now days can be attended by almost anyone.
